I don't know what the next few months will hold. I don't believe Johnson has any better idea either. He's a cynical manipulator, but now he's /reached/ his goal: now what?

It feels very unlikely Parliament will let crashing out happen; there are a lot of self-serving hacks, but they all know better than to let themselves be cut out of the process.

Beyond that - it gets fuzzy once an election's involved, as the current polling figures leave so many safe seats up for grabs, falling in either direction. Hence the frustration at the recent Labour revelation that they do need to back a PV regardless.

@thamesynne Gods, yes. Though, I recall some "uncertainty" on trans matters under her tenure.

And here I am, stuck with an ERG fuckstick who was perfectly happy to publicly trash a local campaigner wanting the recent-ish hospital downgrading reversed. (He even experienced the effects first hand, and briefly went pro-NHS, but quickly reverted once re-elected. It's an absurdly safe seat, or /has/ been; now, it'd be difficult to call)

About the only name I can come up with - I've no idea if they aspire to leadership - is David Lammy, who's been fabulously outspoken against Brexit, in terms which could inspire voters.

I feel sad about Corbyn - if it hadn't been for Brexit, I'd've loved to see him prevail. He's managed to bring Labour back from being Tory-with-a-smile, to an actual opposition, for the first time in much too long. But, politics is all about the right person at the right time - as much of a bastard as Churchill was, he was the right person for WW2, and was promptly turfed out as *not* being the right person in peacetime.

Nice to see: SkyScanner's added the ability to view flight leg minimum prices across an entire month. Only appears once you've made a search, oddly; it's below the search fields, "Show whole month".

Nicely, it seems even departures for tomorrow are normal price, modulo peak season. Wishful thinking is free, at least. =:)

A simple ersatz risotto seemed the right thing for.. eh, first meal, so I'll call it breakfast. ^_^;

Half a thinly sliced leek and a finely diced chicken breast into the wok with a little water, plus white pepper, a tiny dash of cayenne for piquance, oyster sauce for that sumptuous umami, and a dash of mace.

Meanwhile, I set some rinsed brown rice simmering. Which, of course, I should've done first, given that takes a good 20-30 mins.

Later on, three chopped baby corn and three chopped stems of asparagus - close to the finish, so the asparagus in particular wasn't at risk of overcooking, and baby corn's really nice with a little crunch remaining too.

Finally, in with the cream of mushroom, forming the body of the sauce, a few petits pois for that delicious fresh sweetness, a dash of Sriracha to balance the rice, a tiny bit of balsamic, and a little Dijon. All folded in, and served. ^_^
