@brandon Whatever you like to use. I seed Linux Mint for a while when new editions come out, not because it's my fav but because it's what I proselytize Linux with. I'd seed it all the time but my broadband bill would be immense.
I've always loved perf. You know, that metal full of holes that used to be mounted as screens over old power supplies. I like hexagonal perf(honeycomb) even more.
Today, while I ate my lunch at my desk, I hacked an OpenSCAD perf module that lets you spec the number of columns and rows, the gap between holes, the size of the holes, the heigth of the cylinders and the number of faces on the cylinders that you Boolean out to create the perf. It was quite enjoyable.
@davey I'm older and I understand now. We pay for our youthful transgressions against our body. Parts of it hurt, ache, throb, are stiff and just don't work like they used to. Old wounds that were seemingly healed decades ago come back to haunt you. I understand him taking it easier now. It'd be nice to see him again.
I always thought he should replace Michael Hutchence in INXS.
@davey Yeah, I saw Cold Chisel at Joe Ely's Tornado Jam. It was outdoors at Manor Downs outside Austin. They had the typical superstructure over the stage. Mr. Barnes was all over it without a safety net. Never fell. Never dropped his mic. Somehow came down safely. Whatever he was doing, I wanted some of that.😃
Those boys played their hearts out for us. An Aussie friend later confirmed that was typical for them. They left it all on the stage.
@davey 1. Springsteen in the 70s.(Hate to admit it. There's not even a close second. No opening band, 2 sets and every show was different) 2. The Clash, London Calling tour 3. Cold Chisel, Jimmy Barnes was a maniac on stage. 4. The Clash, Combat Rock tour, they spent 2 weeks in my hometown, making the "Rock the Casbah" video and clubbing in my favorite haunts, culminating in a concert at the old Austin Coliseum. Greatness. 5. Foo Fighters, look on YouTube, you'll see what I mean.
If you really want to hurt Google, figure out a way for developers to make money off of apps in F-Droid, to the extent that they choose to remove their apps from the Play Store.
One could but if the phenomenon were credible, surely in almost 40 years the record should be beat.
I'm not saying that global warming doesn't exist. I'm saying the message and the "science" are flawed.
The fact that anytime anyone questions this, they are labelled a denier and shouted down, makes the whole situation worse. I think we should be able to discuss the situation in an adult manner, expose the holes, fix them and spread some truth.
The summer of 1980 was the hottest on record for most of central Texas. I lived in Austin and attended the University of Texas that year. 100 days above 100°F.
I guess you have just exemplified my point. Are you cherry picking data to make a point or do you have comprehensive data that proves your point including the data that doesn't support the conclusion because there will be some. As proven with the East Anglia email dump, the "scientists" were cherry picking data, ignoring the data that didn't support their conclusion and then "cooking" the data they kept. I'm sorry but that is not science. Give us real science.

@philosopher At the risk of being labelled a denier, my answer is not much at all. I'm probably one of the "greenest" people that will respond to your question having lived entirely off the grid on solar and wind energy. The hottest summer I've ever endured was in 1980. No summer since has come close. Al Gore said 20 years ago that by now, our lives would be severely impacted by climate change. They haven't. He was horribly wrong. Overstating the impact of human activity has damaged the cause.
@feynman Eventually, we have to grow up. But for now you're young. Enjoy the freedom of no bills and little responsibility. You've got plenty if time to find your way in the world.
