So I'm sitting in the park doing nothing.

I've just gotten to the episode What you Need. This is a fun one.

It's based on a short story and that short story was adapted in to an episode of Tales of Tomorrow. ( which can be sen here https://archive.org/details/talesOfTomorrow-WhatYouNeed1952 )

The twilight zone version eschews the sci-fi element of the original, in favor of a decidedly more supernatural take.

I think the story works better with the anchoring of the shop, as seen in Tales of Tomorrow, but it's still a killer episode.

Not Meatloaf again!

@48kRAM I barely remember the first two. Pole position is always impressive, but I rarely enjoy playing it.

I'm a big fan of the bugfixed E.T., Berzerk and Wizards of Wor, The Empire Strikes Back, the unreleased Ewoks game, HERO, Keystone Kapers, Kaboom, Chopper Command, and basically every Activision game.

I've played just about every game for the system at lest a few times, but I don't really remember Demon Attack or Maze Craze.

Please suggest to me your favorite board games for two players, and especially for couples.

Up next is World Enough and Time which is another classic that I don't need to see again.

Solid episode, but it doesn't reward repeated viewings IMO.

I skipped a couple more that I'd seen too many times, and just kicked off the one where the guy is sentenced to prison on an asteroid.

This is another episode about solitude, and cruelty, at least at first.

Rod really hated the idea of being alone.

There's Martin Landau. This is the earliest thing I can remember seeing him in.

According to wikipedia he had five minor TV appearances before this.

"One for the Angels" is one I've seen so often that I'm going to skip it.

It is an Excellent episode, and one that manages to be Exactly as spooky as it should be. Menacing, surreal, very well done.

But I've probably seen it thirty times, so I'm skipping ahead to the one about the drunk guy in the old west.

I had forgotten about him getting locked in the phone booth. That's a nice gag.

I'm about five minutes in and my memories are mostly correct so far.

It appears, mostly, that this one just goes on too long without doing anything. It's not spooky enough, the man isn't desperate enough.

Episode one, as a recall, is about an astronaut hallucinating his way through the first extended simulation of solitude on a flight to the moon.

It has a kind of eerie atmosphere, and it sets the stage well for the weirdness to come, but it is hampered by the fact that it is the first episode. It could have been stronger.
