@elomatreb Honestly I should probably start by looking up a programmers into guide to localization. I'll keep that in mind though. XD

@elomatreb Oh, yeah I haven't even begun to think about that. When would you suggest I start? Is there anything I could do before hand to make it easier to manage? :/

@eladhen Eh, I wouldn;t go that far. There are plenty of reasons to be in favore of it. For example, I like that it would be, at least theoretically, harder for assholes with power to screw with once it's set up. :V

@eladhen You think that's the tradeoff we'd have to make? :/

@dirtycommo I'm not worried about any given error, I'm worried about overall code structure. Probably just anxiety, I guess. :/

@zwol I'm actually not going to use SQL just yet. I might switch to it later, but I'm gonna stick with Mongo for now. :/

@cjd I'd be impressed if either of these proposals goes through in any serious form within a decade. We'll see though. :/

@h Well, in this case I meant having actors, follower listw and the definition for "activitystreams#public" be in one collection. But yeah you're right, I'll go look that up. XD

@h Or maybe I should just stop having separate collections and have a single great big one? I'm not sure how well that would work, but I could try it. :/

@h You think so? Maybe I just don't know that much about relational databases then. Anyway, how would you suggest I handle my ID's of unknown types? Just try every possibility they could be until I find the right one or run out of options and give up? :/

@h And my current problem, the address fields of activities can contain the ID's for a variety of objects. They can be public, addressed to everyone in a collection, addressed to a specific actor... :/

@h Activities can contain objects, most obviously. Also actors contain collections, though that works more easily with just having ID's that point to said collections. :/

@elomatreb Oh, I already have indexing. So thats not a problem at least. :/

Then again, I would have to figure out all the details involved in switching, so maybe it'd be better if I just made do with what I have? :/

Like, for example right now, I want to look up an object by an ID without knowing what kind of object it is. I have my different kinds of objects in different collections at the moment, so this would be difficult. If I instead had them where I could search the whole database for said object all at once, it would make things simpler. I could also embed objects in Activities better, and other details. :/

Aaargh. Should I switch from using Mongo to using a different database? Meteor is kinda intertwined with Mongo, but it should be possible. The thing is, ActivityPub seems to be meant for relational databases, and Mongo doesn't implement that functionality well. :/
