@RussSharek I have always felt the same way about acting. It is insanely difficult to act badly unless, of course, you are a bad actor. Only folks who have mastered their metier can approach the task of slandering that same discipline.
Yesterday I made an offhand tweet that "Amazon would do well to consider a Canadian city for its second North American headquarters." The editor of CanTech Letter suggested I write a short article on this. I did, and it's posted today. He asked for my fee, and I said 'make it open access'. #smallstories
We began the first days of our school year with Houston's flooding on our minds. My young students quickly decided to do something, hosting a school event in Week One to raise money for supplies for a Houston school in desperate need. As a teacher, this altruistic attitude is exactly the tone I hope to nurture all year, so seeing it blossom so early is warmth to the heart. They raised $900 and will help choose supplies. Yesterday, they were already worrying about Florida. So am I. #smallstories
@katebowles The addition of images is always welcome.Reminded of Teju Cole's book "Blind Spot".Each open page has text on the left and image on the right. The text & the image are twined together in lots of different ways. I have been looking at a new one every day & highly recommend it as a way to open the morning after a meditation. In your image I particularly love the horizon line above the ocean pool, the foreground line of the railing, and the boardwalk. I can smell the salt in the clouds.
