    Ich bin definitiv kein großer Freund von #Mozilla: Derzeitig gibt es meines Erachtens Schwierigkeiten in der Zielsetzung für den Browser #Firefox und dessen quelloffene, freie Ausrichtung.

    Wenn man proprietäre Dienste und Elemente einbindet und die unterschwellige Datensammlung mit fadenscheinigen Argumenten begründet, gibt es genug Diskussionsbedarf.

    Allerdings ist es noch etwas Anderes #Mozilla für die Finanzierung von #RiseUp mit "Antifaschismus" gleichzusetzen, wie es Bryan Lunduke getan hat. Schön, dadurch zeigt man, dass man recherchieren kann. Allerdings ist "Antifaschismus" nicht einfach wie schlicht eine homogene Gruppe, wobei damit auch die Recherche wiederum nur zu einem rein populistischen weil oberflächlichen Stilmittel degradiert wird. Und nur weil in den USA diese als "terroristische Organisation" einsortiert worden ist, wird Kritik erhoben? Wie sieht es denn mit Kritik an der eigentlichen Einsortierung in den USA aus? Wie sieht es damit aus, dass unter dem Banner "Antifa" teils schon Widerspruch gegen Entmenschlichung, Hass und Diskriminierung schlicht eingeordnet wird? Nichts davon in der Recherche von Bryan Lunduke.

    Aber eben genau DAS wäre wichtig gewesen: Der politische Zwiespalt, da es DIE "Antifa" als Gruppierung gar nicht wirklich gibt. Und #Mozilla in genau diesen Topf voller Vereinfachungen zu werfen ist defakto falsch. Aber vielen Dank für das Wasser auf den Mühlen derer, die meinen sich komplett entkoppeln zu wollen, die Demagogie verbreiten und Apologeten für ethnopluralistische Betrachungsweisen spielen wollen statt für eine bunte Vielfalt einzutreten, Bryan Lunduke!

    @mangeurdenuage @cwebber Never forget: most of #Mozilla is a tax-exempt non-profit. Because of this, _any_ political activity could cause them to lose their status.

    I'm not fully convinced that contributing to #RiseUp would be considered political, but the fact that they'd take that chance indicates that their management is seriously endangering everything they've accomplished.

    (Note: I'm neither right-wing nor left-wing, but I'm in favor of RiseUp continuing to offer its services. I am concerned that they seem to be the default for left-wingers who don't use Google/Microsoft/Yahoo, so that makes RiseUp a major choke point for NSA to monitor much of the left's communication in one bucket.)
