    Because we were both doing maintenance around the house, #sonTwo and I split our call into three. I messsed up and put the part in backwards, so I'll have to redo my task. Family day at Home Depot, I guess.

    #sonOne was at work, so we had no phone call this week.

    #Daddy_A and I chatted on #Wire at the same time as Mark and I were conversing via SMS.

    Finally, co-worker S called and we were on the phone about two hours and forty minutes (talking about $EMPLOYER and life after $EMPLOYER).

    Full day. I'm going to go to bed now. #TZAF

    #sonTwo drove to Indiana and back to Missouri yesterday. “Currently unpaid, but may pay off in the future.” This displaced a normal workday, so hopefully it does pay off. He mentioned that it rained, but didn’t say much more.

    Speaking of grandkids, #Daddy_A tells me that both boys (age 2.5 and 6) are enjoying “Mario Party” for the #Switch, which was in their March / April gift shipment. No word on whether their younger sister #Toddler_A3 is enjoying her items. Also, #sonTwo tells me that #GS3 is gaining weight and is back up to his birth weight, and his father-in-law who never seemed to be thrilled about having my son in his family, is completely charmed by the grandson and is warming up.

    @moonman I was going to buy a car, but if/when I move closer to #sonTwo, I'll just borrow his. During the rare times when I am home in #SoCal, I almost never go anywhere beyond walking distance, so I don't have any need.

    Receiving more photos of #GS3. His face is still puffy, but he’s definitely got his dad’s features. Eyebrows and hairline and chin are very similar to #sonTwo.

    New grandson: #GS3 is here. He had trouble feeding, so they did some type of laser procedure and he's at home ravenously nursing and pooping. #sonTwo's in-laws were supposed to leave today. At least they got to see and hold him before their 19 hour drive home.

    My son forgot to notify his brothers, so I did.

    I was going to send this to #Daddy_A (age 29), but he's a seasoned pro at ignoring my provocations. #sonTwo (age 31) would point out that he's the one that got me started drinking #coffee. #sonOne (age 41) would point out that he drinks something that looks like coffee-flavored motor oil. So I'll just put this here instead.

    "Boomers tend to drink coffee instead of energy drinks because at least coffee tastes good."

    Suddenly realized that it has been almost a week since I got any messages from #Daddy_A. Since @geniusmusing sent a link to an article that claims #NE is having “historic” flooding, I asked his brother ( #sonTwo ) whether he’s heard anything. He said he had heard about floods in Nebraska, but that’s all he knows.

    It is after bedtime there now, but I’ll send messages and try to call him tomorrow morning.

    I got “Die Hard” on Blu-ray on sale recently. I think I’ll send it to #sonTwo.

    I’m working on the next shipments of stuff for grandkids, so I will throw that in with the stuff for #GS3.

    I generally work too much (3000 - 3500 hours per year the last few years). I try to remain in touch with my kids and grandkids, having realized that I missed a lot by being at work all the time. ( I spent more time with #sonTwo than with #sonOne or #Daddy_A, partly because he came and hung out at my workplace at the time. ) I am actively attempting to reduce that to something more reasonable, so that the younger grandkids (currently 11 and younger) will know me as the granddad that is present and involved.

    Politically, I'm a centrist. By this, I mean that I reject the overall viewpoints and the dangerous and harmful plans of both the left and the right. I also disagree with many others who call themselves centrists.

    I reject the US Democrat and Republican twin parties, generally choosing to vote for candidates who are not part of either organization. I do not believe that either the federal government or any corporation is the savior of the people. (Nor do I believe in any form of anarchism.) nu.federati.net/main/public
