@bob @moonman Don't I know it! I still have over $50K in student loans (down from somewhere over $100K 15-20 years ago). A couple of years ago, I added up my loans plus #sonOne's loans plus #sonTwo's loans and it was over a quarter of a million dollars.

#Shopping: #GD1 gets a 7-inch tablet; #GD2 gets an educational tablet (PBSKids); #GS1 gets an 8-inch tablet. #sonOne gets a !raspi 3 and a !raspberrypi 0. I still need to find something for his wife. #sonTwo and his wife get some help with their bills.

I may have spent too long on a midwest diet. A little bit of jalapeno on this burger started my nose flowing like Niagara. Both #sonOne and #sonTwo would seize my #California card for this.

@harmlessgryphon I think it will. #sonTwo called me this afternoon to tell me that there was a possible school shooting in the city where he works. His employer has a school next door, but it wasn't near him. After it was all over (false alarm), we talked about gun safety courses and licensing requirements, and the fact that laws won't stop this, but finding out the intended victims shoot back will.

Oddly, #sonTwo did not say anything about #TropStorm Philippe's effects on #SoFlo. Maybe that will be in one of today's calls. #NOAA #NHC says the storm is affecting the #Bahamas as it speeds away from #Florida.

Instead of waiting for my brother to start it out, I submitted my link for the #1970s #flashback thread one day early. Also started a parallel thread with #sonOne, #sonTwo, #faveNephew (left off #Daddy_A because they are hurriedly packing for a rush move across the country for #Mama_A's new job; no distractions needed).

#sonTwo is heading to bed now that the game is over. His #Switch (like mine) remains unplayed. On the other hand, #Daddy_A informed me this afternoon that he was heading to GameStop to get some games for his new system.

And currently, #sonTwo says he's not interested at all; #Daddy_A says he already planned to wait a couple of years because he does not have a 4K TV or monitor yet.

I don't think I'll tell #Daddy_A and #SonTwo that I bought and shipped a #Nintendo #Switch for each of them. They should find out when their consoles are delivered around #SonOne's 40th birthday next week.

Every time I walk into a store, I walk over to view their stock of the #Nintendo #Switch. I think both #sonTwo and #Daddy_A will be rejoicing soon.

So it looks like #sonOne will take over his son's cell phone in a month or two. I love #GS1, but it does bother me (and his uncle, #sonTwo) that he rarely communicates with me despite me paying for his phone for the last six years.
