      Pomegranate Molasses is a syrup used in Middle Eastern cooking. It has a bright ruby red color, and its sweet and sour flavor goes well with so many other ingredients. It is commonly available in Middle Eastern markets, but is easily made at home if you can get pomegranate juice, now easily found in supermarkets.

      The 27th Amendment had languished for nearly 200 years before a Texas student made passing it a personal cause. The amendment was ratified 25 years ago this weekend.

    #TIL: “Ukraine” is the English transliteration of “Україна”, pronounced oo-CRAY-yee-nah

    I just assumed that we pronounced it the same as they did.

    Also, there used to be some Ukrainian families (refugees) living nearby in the 1990s. I really enjoyed the sound of their language when they spoke to one another. I have not heard it since then.

    I also learned that #CouchDB is a PITA. I probably could have figured it out, but it isn't high on the "must learn" list.

    !TIL: Man kann eine #MediaWiki Datenbank aus 1.20 (mysql von $verdammtlangher) direkt in ein MediaWiki 1.34.1 (MariaDB 10.x) einlesen. Der Rechner (4 Cores, 16 GB RAM) hatte zwar minutenlang ordentlich zu rödeln für die Anpassungen, aber es geht. :-)
