Are you not feeling motivated to go outside for a healthy walk? How about downloading the application StreetComplete from @fdroidorg and start helping out OpenStreetMap by adding missing data about the places around you!

I started today and it made my daily walks a lot more fun! It also motivates me to walk even more and visit new places that I wouldn't visit otherwise. :)

And, LibrePCB is version control friendly. I really like managing projects in git repos. kicad makes this a pain.

If you're using LibrePCB now, you'll find that the libraries have almost no ready made symbols and footprints available. Development is in a very early stage. You'll have to draw almost everything on your own. This is not a deal breaker for me, but it can be a little tiresome.

@nardhini and I spent a good deal of time this week trying to receive Slow Scan TV broadcasts (https://ariss.pzk.org.pl/sstv/) from the International Space Station. We were unsuccessful due to various problems with our antennas and receivers. Better luck next time, I suppose...!

When we say #Switch to Mastodon, it is also important to talk about #Federation, #Decentralization, Self Hosting along with it. Otherwise, it repeats one of the purpose for which we are switching. There are various #Mastodon instances that we can join relating to our interest and the community that we can pitch in.

    >Wget will download any file it finds
    >and will follow links to more documents, downloading as it goes
    >It can be configured to crawl and download an entire Web sit
    My sides!
I can imagine this in a documentary with dark music.

    >But here, as is so often the case when we talk about technology, metaphor can obscure the truth as easily as it can illuminate it: Wget cannot “harvest” anything. Just like any document accessed over a network, Wget operates by copying files, leaving the original in place. Likewise, the word “scraping” connotes a harsh removal of information, but data scraping only involves copying.
Why did they even use these "metaphors" in the first place then ?

Gross...! The sugar and sugarcane industry are a menace. Almost every farmer I know is growing sugarcane because it's profitable. This should stop.

An East German built this computer using a book back in the early 80s. He had to make trips to West Berlin to buy the RAM chips using a day pass. It's a Z80 clone based around the MME U880.

It's true that a lot of dairy in India is fed on scrub lands. But, it would be nice to see the data and find out exactly how much. It would be nice to know if it really accounts for the huge price difference.

If you post content by "trusted sources" like the New York Times, Eunomia will assign you a high trustworthiness score. This is without regard to how many Iraqis the NYT got killed by spreading fake news that lead up to and justified Iraq War 2.

    Don't mistake Establishment-approved for "trustworthy"
