@vascorsd
I have that one. It's pretty cood but I couldn't get vanilla debian to run on it. That was due to problems with the Nvidia card. Ubuntu works fine.

Why would you want your server to be listed on joinmastodon.org if you don't have open registrations? -

Oh, and it's centralized in that you can only install packaged hosted in a central place by canonical.In flatpak you can set any number of repository hosts.

I'll certainly have more questions, but eventually we'll need a new thread cause too many people are @ed every time.
Though I wonder: how on earth could a plant create its own potassium? Since potassium is an element and not a molecule, doesnt that mean it would have to transform one element into another? -

Jiří Eischmann (sesivany@mastodon.cloud)'s status on Thursday, 05-Sep-2019 09:49:20 EDT Jiří Eischmann When I upgrade the OS, (mostly 3rd party) apps occasionally break because their dependecies change. And as it happens I gradually move to #Flatpak 'cause it doesn't happen there: Spotify, VLC, Telegram.. and now Feedreader which started performing badly on #Fedora 31.
I know I should report it and wait for a fix (which eventually arrives), but I've grown tired of it. It's a never-ending story. App developers should decide when their app's dependencies change, not your OS vendor. -

I wonder whether canonical is holding back this update in order to push their #snap stuff.. -

I have another question. So since trees need (very little, but still) other minerals to grow, it would be so that if I repeatedly grew trees on an area and then cut down those trees and bring them somewhere else (i. e. not leave them there to rot), this area would eventually be depleted of important minerals? -
