Don't trust "open source" projects with Contributor License Agreements, they are effectively not open source/free software at all and cannot be trusted or forked in productive ways that eliminate corporate control. (glares at Microsoft with VSCode and Azure)

While it's true that with flatpak, often many apps need to be updated when there's a security problem in a dependency, this is much worse with AppImage. There are no automatic updates at all (by default) in AppImage and all AppImages need to be updated when there's a dependency security update.

Given how the EU is letting people die in the Mediterranean and doesn't even allow the rescue boats into European ports, we must conclude that most "moderate" political parties aren't moderate at all. All but the "radical" left-wing parties are radically inhumane and we should communicate this as such.

I’m almost a year in. Got a second model for home in June. Took me a month or two to get used to it (keybr.com recommended for training)

Would never go back to non-ortholinear keyboards, the stand is really good for my wrists too. Best kickstarter I ever backed.

I recently switched to light background too, for the sole reason that most websites have light background and it was too much strain on my eyes to switch back and forth.
(Yes I know there are firefox addons for this but last time I tried (years ago), it didn't work so well

“Facebook allowed Microsoft’s Bing search engine to see the names of virtually all Facebook users’ friends without consent, the records show, and gave Netflix and Spotify the ability to read Facebook users’ private messages. The social network permitted Amazon to obtain users’ names and contact information through their friends, and it let Yahoo view streams of friends’ posts as recently as this summer, despite public statements that it had stopped that type of sharing years earlier.”

This is important for preventing climate change, because the manufacture and sale of new things creates a lot of CO2 compared to the bottom 5 layers of the pyramid.

Previously I was against including Conscrypt just to fix TLS compatibility of old Android versions, because it increases apk size significally (I think it was ~5Mb). But adding it to support TLS 1....

I'm trying to get a home wireless speaker.
Does someone have a recommendation? Seems like everything out there is a #proprietary money extracting mess, where you're forced to use something like spotify or apple music to listen. I want to be able to play arbitrary sound sources from Linux.
