That said, I know the German laws around these items are quite...restrictive. Let's just say the few times I was in Germany for work, I bought a lot of the meals with my German colleagues because it was easier. :P

@cybette I do my expense reports as I go. Even then, it's still a chore to ensure I actually got everything...and not losing money on the exchange rate.

One annoying thing about business travel: doing the expense reports afterword. Especially when they involve foreign currency, because it takes a fair bit of work to ensure you don't get fucked on the exchange rate.

Seriously micro.blog looks like an IndieWeb Circle Jerk solution. Trades one master for another and doesn't solve meaningful problems for most people.

@dcgirl @SpookyR even if they could beat 5 lines for $100/mo like I have with Cricket, there is no chance in hell I'm going to use them. If anything, I'm trying to figure out ways to pay them LESS.

@SpookyR @dcgirl even when you buy a cable modem (as I've done for years), they control the horizontal and the vertical.

As a result, I buy cable modems without built-in WiFi or other features and run my own damn WiFi access points :P
