@jamey I know that feeling! You start writing something down, it turns to a blog post skeleton, but not something you can publish... And then you spend like a month polishing it, until it gets perfect enough. And then you hope that maybe some nerd that runs into weird linking errors when using undocumented Mach-O features will find it useful :(

Oh good, now I have another 4,000 word blog post draft that I'll probably sit on for a while because I don't know how to edit it into something coherent 😓
(This one's all the technical details I've learned about how RSS/Atom feed publishers can implement RFCs 5005 and 6721. It's not going to be exciting to all that many people. I just hope people who develop blog/CMS software find it helpful...)

If you ever encounter people who want to get into web development, or you want to get started yourself: Refer to the Mozilla Developer Network (MDN). Their guides and tutorials are extensive and helpful. Take for example this guide on "Applying color to HTML elements with CSS". Goes from simple+foundations to stuff like color theory.

uber’s innovation isn’t its app but its deflection of liability onto the workers. pdx radio cap is a worker-owned taxi service and they have a dispatcher app too, and it’s just as convenient. all the trimmings that uber uses to enhance the disenfranchisement of drivers are unique to their hostile motivations. the quality of life improvements that software applications offer need have nothing to do with the poverty gun.

@alatiera Augh, I'm not sure I wanted to know that there are deadlines. I need at least two patches in Builder before I can use it for anything. I have it running now, but it can't build projects reliably because it goes to a lot of trouble to scrub the PATH, apparently, and I'm not even sure how to fix that. I might also want to send gobject-introspection patches upstream too.
