There is something about the axioms/presuppositions of the secular, when presented with such hubris, that make them just plain unattractive to me. Spent a lot of time in that void. There's no there there. The modern's opposition to God and His mysteries make "learning" a constant process of shedding intuitive or instinctive or ancestral faculties in exchange for sexy, anti-authoritarian, hyper-rational (see Autism) word collections.

@PhoneBoy @Combaticus I came out as a follower of Christ at work last week. What followed was a parade of shallow generalizations and tropes. The only rational, keep-my-job answer had to do with the realm of judgement and how carefully we should tread there 😃

I know there are other deep topics besides GOD, and I have delved into many others with coworkers, but we really do live in clownworld and most folks seem to be content to exist only as base beasts.

Ry and David are just two of many fine musicians my father turned me on to. I can recall that the more plainly Americana and Country artists seemed way less "cool" until I matured further. Cooder, and Lindley more particularly, always sounded fun, even to a wee sprout. Something universal, agile, genre-less and ad-hoc about those two wizards and their craftsmanship.
