I'm going to be blogging about the build process and coding of a robot for PiWars in Cambridge, UK. I'm wondering whether posting updates about the blog and the build would be acceptable here? They wouldn't be really regular. At most I'd post one blog entry per week and link to it in a toot, (most likely much less regularly than that), and toot more regularly as a form of microblogging the process.

I've actually just changed from Tusky to Mastalab today. I haven't used Mastalab in ages, so I figured I would try it out again. I like Tusky a lot, but Mastalab has many features that Tusky doesn't include. I'm not yet sure if it's going to be a permanent change, but Mastalab has improved quite a lot since I last used it so I may decide to switch.

@brandon Yeah, a "shitty version of Reddit" as my friend said when I tried to sell it to him! I agree with you, the people on Fosstodon and the fediverse (to an extent) are cool

@brandon I know what you mean! My theory is, smaller communities mean your posts make up a much larger proportion of content, so therefore more interaction occurs because people actually know you / remember you.

@aadilayub I was going to recommend Hooktube, but it looks like it recently became almost useless to those who don't want to share their data with Google.

@jiminycricket @BO41 Yeah I'm using an entirely offline calendar with that method. I don't know whether the local calendar database can be synced with Nextcloud though.
