@tompizza basically, any interaction will follow the same privacy level as the OP by default. However, the person creating the interaction can change that.

So, for example, if your toot to me was private, my reply would be private also by default. However, if I wanted to, I could make my response public.

@codesections I'm gonna start working on a post about "advanced Mastodon usage" which will cover lists, alternative UIs etc.

So @mike just pinged me to inform me that we missed Fosstodon's 1st birthday!

On 01st August we became 1 year old. As I understand it, that's quite old for a Mastodon instance. Hopefully it will be the first of many, as we go from strength to strength.

@geekgonecrazy @mooshoe yeah, it's just one of those things. I tend to use lists a lot to filter my timelines - they work really well.

@codesections hmmmm that's the Kindle out then. A lot of people are recommending a Kobo. I might go with them.

In thinking about buying an eBook reader. Can anyone recommend a good alternative to the Kindle, or is that the best out there?

Requirements :
- Long battery life
- E-Ink display
- Backlit
