@lain you're absolutely right. The "completely unique" that I referred to is in the context of comparing it to more mainsteam social network, like FB and Twitter. Maybe that isn't clear in the sentence in hindsight?
@fgerling I don't think that's an appropriate analogy really. Whilst you can join multiple instances if you wish, it's not required to see an instance's content.
