@mlemweb and I ran another great "Programmable Publishing" workshop w/ Racket and Scribble today. It went well, everyone was very enthusiastic, the Red Hat office was a nice location, Ben Greenman (a Racket contributor/researcher) kindly helped as a volunteer. Lots of fun, and lots of people encouraging us to continue. Yay!

Just ran an amazing RPG with Evan Prodromou and @ajordan and Phoebe Ayers using the Freeform Universal system! Explored some heady topics, including emergent sapient AI, distributed game systems, and what happens when a community starts to decay and lose its institutional knowledge

Máirín is a free software advocate and a person pushing for making free software to be beautiful and usable. She's inspired a lot of my work on where I think FOSS needs to go in order to be used by real humans.
Her work on teaching digital illustration with Inkscape to girl scouts quite a few years ago also is one of the things that inspired @mlemweb and I's recent workshops on Racket and Scribble!
