So a while ago I set out to rewrite the default Mastodon privacy policy to have a more limited scope and be more explicit about Mastodon features (because the original was adopted from WordPress, which is a totally different beast!). I've put a formatted render of the new text in here: https://github.com/tootsuite/mastodon/pull/6666
I wanna hear if people think it's okay to adopt. It might still have some vague wording because it's a default policy, but should be an overall improvement...

I have an AWS instance hosting pdxo4j.org (amongst other things), and am thrilled with how easy it is to work with using mastodon and setting up a server. As a programming / devops nerd, I am LOVING this project and the intention and direction.
THANKS so much @Gargron and everyone involved in building this amazing tool. Gonna promote to local groups once server is set.

@guerrillablack It's difficult not get satisfaction out of seeing a person with a swastika armband getting decked after doing the hitler salute, and I think it's justified in the sense that people who subscribe to that ideology lose the deontological protection of an innocent; but it's not like i would advocate for that to be an official policy, nor do it myself.
