Looking at Unreal Engine and whether I can stand using it for something. I really need to get away from my tendency to build everything from scratch, but ugh, it looks and feels so ugly...

With that over with, though, I really want to spend some time making games and building worlds. There is so much stuff stuck in my head that wants out. I just want to make forests and mountains and lakes and then run around in them.

Apparently, Finland's most famous ski jumper died today, and there is literally nothing else in the news.

I tried scrolling down several screens on one news site to see what else is happening today, and I got: "Man sees big owl outside his house".

That's not going to work, it will just cause harm with no benefit.

@Gargron Direct from Helsinki was 9-10 hours, and that was a bit painful, but survivable with a good book and some games.

Tokyo at least is highly optimised to never require you to interact with another human, which helps. You can go there and never need to understand a phrase other than the "Do you want me to heat this?" the cashier at the store might ask about your boxed meal.

@Gargron It does lose a little in the translation to "Where my sweetheart is", though, as the original literally is "Where my little crumb is".
