I didn't much care for the boss sections, except for the final one, which was just amazing and will stay with me for a long time. That one especially perfectly blended emotional storytelling with absolutely exhilarating gameplay.

Finished playing through Celeste.

It was pretty great. I don't like the core gameplay genre that much, but it was well executed enough that I still enjoyed it most of the time, and the parts that were great were REALLY great.

But what it really excelled in the how well it executed its storytelling and how it interwove with the gameplay, and also the sense of place of the level and graphic design.

@Gargron I don't care so much about federated or not, but I want the advertising and investor money out of our social lives. It poisons everything, and it has thoroughly poisoned the big social networks. And the fediverse is the best available alternative at the moment.
