Capital Punishment: being forced to listen to nothing but the #1 Hit Music Station for a week.

Apparently, it's the "official start to the weekend". I didn't realise the national finances were in such a poor state that we had to put local radio DJs in charge of the standard time signal.

@lizardsquid There was once a computer shop called RAM Computers. At one point, someone scrawled "up your arse" under their advertising sign.

@cute_weeds I live on a big windy hill, so if I *don't* hear loud wind at night I think it's kind of creepy.

From what I have been told of late, #ZombieMaplin has about a month to six weeks left, but they'll hopefully start running out of stock before then.

My electronic components sales are very slow lately, because bust UK retailer #Maplin are selling off their stock at bankrupt prices. I wish they would hurry up and close down completely.

I can't compete on price with a company that is dumping its stock on the market and doesn't need to make a profit because it's winding down.

@ND3JR I know of DX Engineering - a couple of the British amateur radio 'emporiums' sell their stuff. I didn't realise it was a small unit inside a much bigger unrelated shop, though! I always imagined it was a big operation.

Can't get any work done because I'm busy giggling at Rony on BBC Sheffield. They're doing a feature on some YouTube craze called slime, but it includes lines like "listen carefully, I'm squishing me slime" and "does it get warmer if you rub and tug and pull and play with it?" XD

Having to learn a whole new UI when I want to eg. book a ferry to Ireland seems like a waste of time. Why can't we standardise such things.
