@SinaCutie I don't mind small - I'd rather have a few people I like, rather than thousands of people putting up memes and shitposts and nothing of any substance. <3
@SinaCutie@chr I am looking at moving instances, that's all, and I want somewhere that is a bit more light-hearted and fun. Will your instance be just for you, or public to sign up? <3
@vfrmedia I spend most of my life in hospital at present (grandad is in and I'm on constant visiting and taxi duty) and most of the inmates and visitors are constantly on phones.
Either they've found a way to have the phones not interfere with the "sensitive medical equipment" or it was BS to start with.
I'm still tidying up my follow list, removing people who aren't following me. If you are following me and I'm not following you, shout at me because I will have just missed the notification. <3
@nev Same in this country. Here, it seems to go with the hipster/beard type thing. I'm not target audience for such places for obvious reasons but I find the whole MAN thing a bit... offputting?
@SinaCutie I use Opera, which isn't ideal because it's not free software, it's Chromium with a wig on and some people aren't comfortable with its Chinese connections (although that doesn't bother me).
However, the constant changes to Firefox and the fact that it's so much slower and I've got work to do mean I'm using Opera until Firefox stabilises a bit more and gets rid of junk like "trending news".
@Jo I've got the same thing at present with something, binaries for Windows and Mac but a pile of code on GitHub for Linux. And it's a QT app, and the only supported way of building it is via QT Creator, and it needs version 5.9, and...
Pain in the arse, it would probably be quicker to rewrite the thing than to try and make it work on ARM.
