One of the greatest testaments to Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's writing ability is that the original Holmes stories are all excellent even though he was really super sick of writing them by like halfway through.

look, the only thing Doyle cares about is that HE doesn't have to write any more of the damn stories. 🤣

@jewishcomeradebot @maple I mean that isn't *strictly* true, he didn't hate Holmes from the start, he just got Really Really Tired Of It and the fans were just like NO WE WANT MORE and the Strand was like "hey write more" and Doyle was like LOOK I KILLED HIM OFF OKAY and the Strand was like "no" and Doyle gave in, probably because he needed the money.

@pixelpaperyarn Not really; I'm working on the magic section for my game text, specifically about the various *waves hands* traditions, I guess, schools of practice, and I figure it's pretty much a given that there's going to be wiccan-style implementations, so I need enough of an understanding of the core concepts and methodology to project it into my alt-future magic.

@pixelpaperyarn yes but wiccan magic is different in approach and such from other kinds of magic

@Alexis might help if you write a plot outline first though so you don't get to a point and go "shit wait I don't know what happens next"
