    @jerry Yeah, Sourceforge has been adware-free for a while.

    @schestowitz I'm starting to think that if one is given two options of how to fail, one is more likely to pick one rather than to try not to fail at all.

    @bobrossbot What about making a virtual shrine in a form of an operating system supporting solely the most perfect screen resolution 640x480? Will that count?

    @notclacke Calling someone a бабуин ("baboon", pronounced "babuin" with accent on the last syllable) also works in Russian, but that has an other connotation than calling a monkey, I think :-).

    @notclacke In Russian there's also no distinction between apes and monkey by separate words, they are all "обезьяна" (pronounced roughly like "obezyana").
    And there are "человекоподобная обезьяна" ("human-like simian") and "гоминид" (great ape, "hominidae", pronounced "gominid").
    In translating "monkey" in monkey-as-slur tropes I guess the most common choice will be to use "макака" ("maqacue") or "мартышка" ("guenon", pronounced "martyshka"). Or, quite possibly, just "обезьянка", with a diminutive "-ka".

    @bob Wasn't particularly interesting to me until this quote:
    > "While in uniform, Spenser Rapone advocated for communism and political violence and expressed support and sympathy for enemies of the United States", Rubio said on Monday.
    I'd like to see the list of enemies of the United States from him, maybe after that he'll get an "other-than-honourable" discharge himself %).

    @thomas Oh. Theoretical proof isn't always applicable, indeed.
    But the level of confidence can be sufficient enough to claim something as a scientific fact.

    > better to allocate our resources to actually putting up a fight and lead by example
    @nventous This doesn't sound bad.
    But… accusing people inaccurately will guarantee a big loss of proponents of one's cause / set of beliefs.
    It's like attacking weed with a flamethrower – sure a lot of weed will be covered by that but also half the garden.
