I just want to take a moment to thank #python for being such a great “just-get-it-done” tool.

I never would have been able to bring so much content back on-line in so little time using anything else.

For my next trick I’m going to import some Wordpress posts into #Hugo.

I’m wondering if there is a go-to way to suck a blog into Hugo via RSS instead of having to write another import tool?

Tried to make my self-hosted git repositories clone-able (read-only) over https, but my nifty iOS git app won’t clone them because the git library it uses only supports “smart http”.

We’ll that’s dumb.

So far I’m happy with Hugo. It’s a little more complexity than I need, but I feel like I can get closer as I learn how to customize it. Also I got it automated via git without too much trouble which was a big win for me.

Absolutely. I did a search for “cyberpunk” on Bandcamp and that alone turned me on to a couple dozen new bands making good hard industrial-style music. One of my favorites being “Victor Love” who I think ended up collaborating with KMFDM.

It’s good stuff, but some of it feels like simulacra, if you know what I mean.
