I am constantly amazed by the whiny, mediocre, privileged man-babies that circulate through Silicon Valley with alt-right leanings and fantasies of being valued as top-tier in some kind of twisted meritocracy.

Wisdom is hard come by, chumps.

I realized that having converted my machines over to ZFS and having regular snapshots and backups (which are now ludicrously easy) has changed how I think about storage. I no longer think of my laptop's storage as temporary; it's just a local replica of a few datasets that also acts as a writeback cache.

Why are phone makers to in love with the idea of a fingerprint scanner in the front? Many phones already have it in the perfect location, in the back.

Apple refused to move the fingerprint scanner to the back, and instead went with an inferior solution. And the fingerprint scanner embedded in the screen is an even worse solution.

@matrix if I decide to run my own homeserver, is there any way to redirect traffic for my matrix.org account to my new mxid? Or do I have manually notify my contacts of the new address (as I would for email)?

I did have a quick search but couldn't see much docs either way. I just don't want people to try and talk to me and get zero response :)
