Ah, a can of maple syrup cola exploded from freezing. That's the other reason I wanted these delivered to work, instead of being left on my front porch...
Opening the box with the intention of taking it home and...it's very wet inside. I'm guessing at least three cans are busted open. Maybe more. Gonna find out momentarily.
@keithzg I've actually never had an issue with things being stolen, despite Intelcom leaving some pretty large boxes and pretty visible spots, but I'm always a little worried. Work is generally more convenient, though, unless it's something huge (like the time we ordered an area rug and they just left it on our front step all day, standing upright).
This box of non-alcoholic beer is much larger than expected. I walk to work so I'm not sure I'll be able to get it home in a single trip. (I had it delivered to the office to avoid it walking off my front steps before I arrive home.)
Hey, does anyone know of an indigenous or otherwise endangered language a keyboard layout has been designed for, but isnβt available on Linux? I would like to learn how to make keyboard layouts, so Iβll do it free of charge.
@sikkdays NewPipe is pretty nice, especially with "headphone" mode. I've thought about plugging on old phone into my stereo, running nothing but NewPipe and using that as a cheap-o online music player.
Play is good, actually, and it sucks that we've all been convinced that we need to turn our hobbies into a side hustle (even worse that sometimes we actually do *need* to do so in order to make enough money to live).
@sikkdays But, yeah, I get where you're coming from. The very real possibility that the thing could disappear overnight based on the whims of YouTube/Google is why I'm unlikely to ever pay for the "pro" version, even though it's only $2 a month and would probably help the developer quite a bit.
@sikkdays Same. I'm currently in the "less back pain" but not quite the "new clothes" stage. (Actually, I had to buy new clothes because I gained weight again...I guess I hope that won't fit for long?)
Just installed Headset on my work PC. Will install at home later (and, in fact, I may setup my old laptop as a sort of lazy person's media centre, connected to my stereo so I can run it that way).
At least until YouTube changes the API settings, this is a pretty killer music stream "service." It's got a huge and de facto free library, no ads...it's pretty snazzy the way they've implemented this thing. (On the other hand, I think it's an Electron app and I know a lot of people hate that shit.)
@msh To his credit, his foreign policy was very much in the Red Tory tradition and often in direct opposition to the US and Britain., particularly on South Africa.
@msh I don't think even Mulroney was a "Red Tory" by the original definition. He started out sounding like one, but then he signed NAFTA and embraced neo-liberalism along with Thatcher and Reagan (though, arguable, his was a "softer" version due to Canada's history of Red Toryism, which probably did largely die after the Mulroney years and definitely ceased to exist in mainstream politics by the time of the modern Conservative party coming to power).
@flowless Be careful with this one. All the landlords will become super fit and better able to fight when they inevitably attempt a counter-revolution.
