    @vriska @Arcana They're made to look ineffective, only coming in to mop up after our group of heroes does everything. I wouldn't say they're made sympathetic, just that stopping the Soviets is common cause with the heroes.

    Season 4 has 2 US govt factions, one of them bad, the other worse.

    Some of the errors made in the early design of the C64 make it so much less convenient than it could be to use. A less stupid disk drive system, an OS that doesn't assume LOAD is for the Tape drive... Just those two things would have made it more pleasant to use. There's a lot of software that doesn't work with 2 drives plugged in, or loaded from any other drive than 1, because of the aggressive fast load routines that were developed to compensate for design issues.

    But I just set up a disk with some productivity software, for shits and giggles, and yeah, it can be surprisingly not bad for these kind of tasks.

    Ballsy of them. Most of the media that builds on Lovecraft builds on the superficial elements, but writing something that fits the Dream cycle would be extremely difficult. Those works were very intimate for him, like looking through an unfiltered window into his imagination.
