@lain He's also being completely ridiculous by acting like Texas wouldn't have a rightful claim to ANY federal infrastructure -

@iwillbite Are you your blood or your skin? The answer is that without either one, you simply aren't. So Kool-Aid Man is both. -

@cjd @lain In that sense, yes, but I think what they meant by "accountability" is "anti-corruption". If it was accountability in the sense you meant it, then clearly Bitcoin has it. -

@cjd @lain My issue is more with accountability; that implies forced disclosure of identifiable information that a bad actor, or one that is privacy-conscious, would not want disclosed. -

@lain @cjd Accountability and User control over data and Openness. Somehow, they envision no conflicts between these. -

@Moon @kumicota In season two, they have a wall of Commodore 1702 monitors in a lab used as security monitors, and I was pointing out, to Mitsu's annoyment, that this wouldn't be found in a lab. They were relatively cheap monitors for home users, not for professional applications. Whoever made that call went for nostalgia over accuracy; more people would remember the iconic Commodore monitor over any 80s professional monitors. -

@lain I had a barcode battler as a kid. It sucked, quite a bit. To think I probably could have had a console or computer game instead :sadcat: -

@shmibs A limited amount of people will probably keep caring for a long time, but yeah. Nostalgia for toys of our youth, and curiosity about paths not travelled, I guess. Baby boomers grew up with toy train sets, and they wanted to see what the super fancy train sets they never could get as kids were like now that they can afford to get them.
Or my generation as kids would have one or two game console or home computer, want to see what all the ones they couldn't get as kids were like, now that they can afford them.
