Dear HP, WTF kind of progress bar is this?

First you fail to detect the paper orientation halfway through my scan job, then you sign me out seconds after I've manually configured the job, before I can even load my originals, then you sign me out halfway through the scan job, then after signing in again and setting everything up again, the "scanner is busy", and now after rebooting I get this?

These products cost a fortune, but some modicum of quality control is too much to ask, I guess...?

One reason why I love Android: I'd recently updated my Kobo e-reader (foolishly), and while I'm sitting at the playground, I found that it had decided I had to re-register. This being China, it can't reach the registration server...

I've been through this before, after I bought it a few years ago, you have to hack it in order to skip the registration.

Connect it to my phone with an OTG cable, open the device database using an sqlite manager, insert an empty user, reboot and we're in!

But what if your master bedroom doesn't actually have its own separate bathroom...
