@SLRock there is. but i think it's shallow. the 'width' of such, if compared to say painting sculpture technical drawing or writing, is like 1 cm to 1 km.

photography, were connotated with fops, well-shoed playboy. It's seen as a hobby, expensive one. Art, is the pretext. It is the art of artless men. In china, this connotation still exist. Where you see lots young men talk about $camera$ and photography.

Tech companies need to hire engineers, and most engineers are liberal inclined.

Sillicon Valley are full of startups, which usually are left inclined folks.

so in that sense, they are hiring like-minded. Yeah i didn't get what you mean.
