to me, i consider Dave Winer one of the charlatans in programing industry, alone with Larry Wall and Martin Fowler. (my heavily biased opinion!)

these guys, are akin to cooks in philosophy or cult leaders. They heavily market themselves, with some kinda strange/novel/weird association, forming cults.

one of Winer's article i remember reading, is something about he went to a wild and danced and cried etc, telling other coders should do it.

Dave Winer, i know he invented rss, and is being an ass about it. yeah now i recall, he's pretty active during those times, lots marketing and trumpeting of frontier and whatever stuff he's inventing ... the userlang frontier script i was a heavy user... but i think after 2002, i haven't followed what's he's doing.

@johnww2 i used to code in frontier, it's probably my 2 or 3rd lang. I loved it, i think it's very good.

though, i think dave winer is a crook.

@SLRock i don't know what Chomsky wants to build exactly... but i think he's very old and pretty much irrelevant as a active force of influence.

afaik, Chomsky's major work (to me) is exposing US government, cia, and how USA is truly the evil empire that rules the globe, since... maybe 1960s.

i didn't like conservatives (more specifically, god, George Bush 2), but now with today's sjw left, i'd join the alt-right anytime.

since about say 2010, there's a new generation of programers, whose mantra is “help”, “be positive”. They shy away from negative things, even occasional swearing. I consider them scumbags. Many young star coders are of this ilk.

one thing about Yarvin i don't get is, in one of his intro, he basically said his view is anything opposite of Noam Chomsky.

i've read some of Chomsky. I don't fully believe in democracy, and i like Chomsky's articles a lot, since they tell truth afaik, and afaik Chomsky believes a branch of anarchy. So i don't get how Yarvin hates him.
