We arrived in Martha’s Vineyard yesterday evening for a “destination wedding” in my extended family.

The Vineyard is to Boston as the Hamptons are to NYC.

My project for the next few days: learning to distinguish dressed-down rich Bostonians from island working stiffs.

He more or less already fixed it by doubling the cutoff. I don't see any "read more"s on m.social now.

Btw thanks so much for doing this.

@natecull I just had an exchange with @Gargron in which he explained that the intent of the "read more" insertion was to only touch posts that did wild things like have a line break after each non-whitespace character.

He's doubled the cutoff, and since then I am not seeing "read more" in my TL.

@Gargron So a more or less normal 500-character Mastodon post shouldn't be affected, right?
