Interesting note: Having spent a lot of time reading about Mass Effect and other RPGs, @DialMforMara assumes every action we take in Skyrim will have consequences, and effect the game later. Hard to convince her that WHAT SIDE WE CHOOSE TO WIN THE CIVIL WAR has no consequences, while still convincing her this is a GOOD GAME.
the "hover over a link to read the top paragraph of the wikipedia article" feature is exactly the sort of thing i would dislike. but actually it's extremely fucking useful and stops you opening a billion tabs. it's actually an extremely web 1.0 OG hypertext Dream Of A Connected Infosphere World type of feature
So I'm on Chrome at work (never bothered to switch to Firefox) and... scrollbars are significantly more difficult to click on and I never realized how much I appreciated Firefox's unstyled scrollbars However. I would still like styleable scrollbars on Firefox, plus an option to destyle them
(As an aside, it is interesting to note they're talking about the game being 24 megs. Especially since that's Mega *bits* , not Mega *bytes* ... So actually 3Mb game size, aka 2 floppies. Odd bit of trivia there.)
@DialMforMara I was thinking of keeping doggie for a long time, as while we do Clavius Vile is trapped in a tiny shrine with no worshippers and half his power.
@witchfynder_finder@DialMforMara Um, in terms of Power metal: Hammerfall Can Canto Manowar Therion (She liked the instrumental bits) Demons & Wizards Dio Dragonforce Rhapsody of Fire
Mara can probably tell you which one of those she was able to stand.
Does anyone want to buy a LOT of very old RAM? Make an offer and pay for shipping and it's yours. #retrocomputing (shipping from Canada is not nearly as bad as you would think it is)
This is clever and how it should be done: Mozilla sends your browser a list of links, then your *browser* runs the personallization algorithm on its end, so Mozilla doesn't get to see it. So you get personalized suggestions without the spying.
Downside I could see of this is that if you are on dial up, or limited bandwidth it wastes data, so I hope it can be disabled.
@mdhughes That is where I learned about it, wikipedia articles on usenet. I introduced it to some video game blogs, so people can talk about spoilers before the person playing it gets to that point.
