Cool. I added that as my back up when Duck duck go isn't finding what I want.

Pretty bummed I can't get Cool Retro Term installed on my Ubuntu Mate machine - it works on OpenSuse. Something about the dependencies never work right and it's not so important that I want to spend hours debugging it. But it's so satisfying to have that ridonkulous looking window to type in.

Yeah, that's the story with my old macbook. It's not a bad option for a home server. I like resurrecting old hardware when I can.

Thanks for the suggestions! I'll check those out. Seems like a good idea to plan for a something a lil more robust.

I am the worst at organizing text files, and they get messy and I don't use them well. But I get mad when I can't access the text files a program is using so I can sync across Nextcloud and stuff. Is there a remedial class I should take for that?

Yeah, I'll try some webdav to hold me over. For reasons I can't figure out, the Owncloud client won't log in, even though it should work. Most strange. Thanks. :)

@nextcloud is magical and amazing, but I've been failing for weeks to get the client installed on my Pocketchip or 32 bit Debian machine. That will make my set up complete.

I sure hope they don't abandon the desktop. I don't feel like it's the hippest distro, but Ubuntu Mate is a great, steady OS that I keep coming back to.
