An indefinite state of emergency was declared in Novaya Zemlya, Russia, after polar bears due to melting ice and climate change were pushed by hunger into the main town Belushya Guba (population ~2500), where 52 polar bears were counted at one time, with 6-10 staying full time and other were in other to settlements.

Doctors Without Borders ("MSF") and SOS Mediterranée cease saving lives on Mediterranean with ship Aquarius after being stripped of Panama flagging in September, so being stuck in Marseilles, reports SR.
They saved >30000 lives since 2016, while >2100 migrants died from drowning there so far in 2018.

They were last volunteer orgs performing the life-saving States are required to do but don't.
Due to recent State practices commercial ships now avoid areas where refugees may be drowning because they would otherwise be obligated to save them.

Meanwhile, EU pays Libya to capture refugees using their universal human right to travel and to seek asylum, causing a huge surge in modern slavery.
Also Turkey was paid by EU to stop people using their universal human rights and many of those have then been used for illegal population transfer to militarily occupied areas.

An exceptional encounter I had during Occupy Stockholm was a person that came by and told me,
its hobby was going around town looking for long time empty apartments,
which it would then open and for no benefit of its own just hand over to homeless people, because...
people need places to live and that it was unacceptable for landlords to keep apartments empty just to drive up prices.

That currency is just an abstraction of the value of future exchange is well known,
but that is often neglect is what this means,
that it is therefore an abstraction of trust, the trust of the currency be exchangeable for goods or services at a future time.

Trust does not per se require currency,
but can be a trust that a society has agreed that all basic needs will be fulfilled for example.
In today's world, the basic needs of every person can be fulfilled many times over.
Currencies are an unnecessary abstraction, which only intrinsically enables hoarding and thus disables the basic needs of every person to be met but instead have those needs be literally dumped for incineration.
It could easily be replaced by a database of needs which by its existence could also help predict future trends.

@mmn Näää, sist jag försökte resa långt själv så fastnade jag nästan i ett fruset Uppsala pga att jag inte såg vilket tåg jag jag var på och nån jag frågade gav mig fel svar, osv.
Jag ska få hjälp att ansöka om färdtjänst pga synförlusten nästa vecka, men det är ju extremt otroligt att ansökan har byråkratat klart tills dess... så jag skyller på det.

The world is scary.

You have two options.

Look away in silence and wait for it to get so scary that you can't do that anymore because that silence let all choice be removed,
or look at it and tell others what you see and do what you can to stop it from reaching the point where speaking against it is impossible.

There is silent sliding to common oblivion or speaking up to preserve life, others' and yours.
There are literally no other options than silence or life.
You can't do everything, but you certainly can do something. Do that.
Choose life.

Where I went to Gymnasium school,
there were some demos that got exceptionally much countrywide mass media attention for being such a small town.
One of them was a united demo against racism,
where all the parties with parliamentary mandates, from farthest left to farthest right (except the "Christian Democrats") and their youth organizations participated together.
The schools closed so the students that wished to would be free to join the demo,
which overcrowded the town square.

On the roof of a supermarket overlooking the square gathered 5-10 Nazi-supporters with a swastika flag, heiling…
until they dropped the flag and one had to come down to get the flag from the square's stage.
I… may have been the one starting the whole square chanting "Idiot!" at that person.

Now, that person is a local top candidate for the "Sweden Democrat" party.

All backdoors are there for everyone to use, 24/7/365, not only those desired and at the desired time. It's in the nature of the concept and there is no way to make it otherwise.
