I thought it was awesome, the best film in the franchise except for "The Empire Strikes Back." An amazing entry into the Star Wars canon. I can't wait to see it again!

I get that radio stations and retail establishments feel the need to play Christmas songs this time of year. But must it be that selfsame elevator music instrumental of "Sleigh Bells" that was originally recorded in 1963? I mean, if it was a classic Bing Crosby vocal track, sure, but do we really need Muzak instrumentals dating from the Kennedy administration?

An unexpected benefit of converting to Judaism for me was, no more Christmas. Seriously. That is a huge perk. It's like being released from a lifetime of stress every December. You don't realize what a huge stressor Christmas is until you're absolved of it.

@donovan I recommend you have alcohol at hand. If you get it, celebrate. If you don't, drown your sorrows.

@ryusei Isn't it, though? At least he realized it was illegal and was deterred...but still, it just seems inherently gross.

I read a post by a guy whose blog I follow, all about how much better he is than Roy Moore, because that time he (the blogger) fell in love with an 11 year old girl he didn't do anything except tell her they should hook up when she turned 18. The guy was 46 at this time! 😲 I suppose it's better than Roy Moore, but it still made me feel tremendously icky. 46 and 11...that's just...wrong.

I hate it when politicians (and others) talk about "appeasement" because they always get it wrong. Here are the historical facts about the policy, and why Chamberlain wasn't the feckless half-wit he's often portrayed as.
