@scruss That's interesting, I guess the design threw me off a bit. I understand about using it in school but I feel like there are much better and cheaper alternative for running python, with better keyboard and the ability to save programs and I/O.

@scruss I highly suspect this is just fancy *physical* interface on top of android that costs the same as low-end phone.

This is another song that I own on vinyl, and the whole album is great and very 1980s, but it's more of simulacrum of that time because the album was released in 2017 is way more subdued than you'd expect from the period.

Archive gives you all associated media too -- I didn't look at mine to closely but most of it are images I attached to tweets with very long uuid as names.

@gamehawk Alternatively you can download your twitter archive -- that doesn't have the same limit as twitter request API.

@dthompson But mastodon is a genuinely complex web application, and complex web applications inherently involve a lot of setting up.

I can set up Mastodon from scratch, I can use ansible to do that as well, I'm fine, but for someone who doesn't now this thing and just wants a space for their art project -- it's either going to be installing Mastodon or not.

Omnibus lowers barriers of entry for the newcomers.

This is a good argument, and the difference is that gitlab instances can run on their own somewhere deep within an intranet, and mastodon instances have to be connected.

Still, there's definitely a value in streamlining the installation so if someone wants to do everything securely, they know what's involved, this would especially help people running their own instances with just a few users.
