I assume I'm not the first to make the comparison but streaming games is all about spotify, not netflix: a platform that costs basically nothing to operate (for a nine digit market cap enterprise definition of OPEX), for which customers will pay yearly subscriptions and content creators will provide limitless free labour, and diversity will suffer every bit as much.

last week I took the boys out for a photographic treasure hunt. they came up with a list of things to find and then we wandered about Fremont looking for them and taking pictures with their tablets. I then assembled a collage using some random collage app I'm sure is now mining bitcoins or w/e. #DadOps

Attached images show the results of their efforts (cool tree, cactus, mural, candy, coffee, flowers, mini-library, burger, cat, cool plant, troll, dog and cool sign).

Lego has eyeballs now. I would have killed for eyeballs when I was a kid.

Now I'm pondering a modron with a fanny pack of eyeballs it can pull from and attach to its otherwise immobile face to convey emotions. #DnD

Had a truncated #DnD session tonight as a bunch of us were feeling wiped out after a long week.

So we didn't get to the big reveal they've been working towards, but I did spring a couple of surprises, including the fact that I was using their own one-shot goblin characters against them.

Also, they finally split the party enough that an NPC that has been scrying on them for weeks was able to make her move and steal an artifact from one of the PCs...
