@xuv That's another interesting question. I looked through AP relays list (https://fediverse.network/activityrelay), and it seems you're right: currently few servers subscribe. In diaspora protocol world the picture is quite different: https://relay.iliketoast.net / https://relay.diasp.org Many nodes use relays.

@xuv Oh. Interesting. Even with relay? diaspora relays allow pulling public posts with tags independent of user subscriptions (I think). Now I wonder whether Mastodon and Pleroma relays handle tags the same way

@xuv Unfortunately, spammers reach audience on all instances connected to theirs via tags (fixable by blocking / muting such accounts). But I totally agree - large Mastodon servers should close registrations. How large can one be before large is *too large*? There're a lot of small servers that would welcome new users. And closing signups should prevent from new spam accounts flood.

@thoughtcrime If a developer ready to discuss technical challenges, write the specification and submit actual code with AP support appears, things may change. Right now only users happened. That is, people want AP support but no one says "I'm ready to work on it". Same with API addition - it was a desired feature for a long time, until a contributor made it real.

Over the last year #diaspora grew: (https://web.archive.org/web/20170406180143/https://the-federation.info)
* 198 servers (Apr 2017) -> 289 servers (now / podupti.me). Compared to Mastodon, insignificant. However, if diaspora was included into 2018 report (https://fediverse.network/reports/2018), it could be #4 ranged by total servers only (+91).

@xuv Blacklist the website and programmatically replace it with joinmastodon.org in every post :p That requires some work though.

@alisa Про "все дома как дома" - знакомо, одна управляющая компания тоже так говорила. Потом народ пошёл на приём в администрацию президента. Теперь всё хорошо (особенно у тех, кто больше всех жаловался). Одолжить tds метр могу - с самовывозом :) Но прибор скорее для личного пользования (понимать: пить или покупать воду), его показания не дают детальной информации и в качестве аргумента не сработают (для этого только офиц лабораторный анализ).

@alisa Проблема в жильцах: неактивны / равнодушны. Это типично для большинства домов. 😕 Придётся активным обить порог каждой квартиры, объяснить, что именно и куда нужно написать. Сделать чат дома в вотсапп, напечатать коллективную жалобу, заслать в чат. Повесить объявление в подъездах. Пройтись, собрать подписи под жалобой, отнести а) в жилищник, б) в управу (?). Воду можно проверять (на соли и тяжёлые металлы) TDS метром (стоит ~3000руб)

@alisa Можно составить коллективное письмо-жалобу, отправить на mos.ru Не 1 человеку, а 10-20. В письме вежливо расписать проблему и уточнить, в какие инстанции обращаться за содействием. Если не поможет, писать выше. При получении отписок писать жалобы снова, все отписки собирать в папку. Жилищнику должны падать письма счастья сверху. Если не поможет - менять компанию (общим собранием дома). Понадобится коллективная активизация хотя бы половины жильцов.
