@SierraKiloBravo I agree that if I'm going to hit current events, it's got to be timely. Two weeks later is too late, as whatever the event; two weeks out everyone's moved on.

I think one thing I've got to rethink is the approach. I can't replicate what Adam and JCD do—that's a full time effort. So, I've got to be able to produce a show in two or three hours vs a whole weekend. Which means I've got to change the scope a bit. I'm getting there ...

I know not everyone can do homeschool. The most important factor in any kid's success is their parents being involved. Doesn't matter if public school, private school, or homeschool. I hate public school because I don't trust the state and union employees with "educating" our population. It ends up becoming a form of brainwashing. Regardless, I'm not king, so all I can do is my family the way I see fit. ;)

Only real advice is to try to think of learning as something that happens beyond a structured classroom. Sometimes disassembling a bicycle or making dinner is learning. Don't feel compelled to recreate the classroom.

Homeschool rocks! We homeschooled all three of ours. So far, one graduated college magna cum laude; another about to graduate from engineering school in a few months; and the third just started college and is on dean's list.

Public school is for the sheep.

@SLRock Thanks, bro! I know I was a little tough, like no one is doing it right. The fact is, a lot of believers take things seriosly. I was reacting to the BS stuff we see so often in mega churches and “seeker senstive” churches. They’re just fun clubs and meanwhile the world is on fire. Peace to you!
