@Triplefox the only immediate downside that comes to mind would be random access into large files being expensive, but that’s pretty rare (scrolling, mostly) and solvable with a skip list or something

Building a little toy language interpreter in Rust, and Rust is making me Ask Questions About NaN.
Fun Clojure behaviour:
(let [x [Double/NaN]] (= x x)) => true
(= [Double/NaN] [Double/NaN]) => false

(it works this way in CLJS too)

At the time, I wasn't really asking questions with the goal of it making a coherent story that would make sense to anyone, I just really wanted to find out how the sausage was really made, and see if he could get me in touch with any of the Union Logic guys (he couldn't)
