Pretty sure if we handled smoking the way that the NRA handles gun control we'd have politicians clamoring for more people to take up smoking to reduce the risk of second-hand smoke inhalation.
@lmorchard I picked up a radio kit w/ soldering iron from Microcenter but I'm afraid to fire it up for fear that Pixel (our cat) will get into it. Have your cats gotten into your soldering projects?
@lmorchard Wow, that is really cool. Atari 8Bit machine have been my love for the longest time. Even have a Black Box that did modem and SCSI stuff with my Atari 800XL. Maybe I need to build one of these to get more fun out of the ol' Atari.
For some reason Porcupine Tree is never high in my regular rotation of music that I listen to but every time I listen it just blows me away and makes me wonder why I haven't listened more.
I think the one thing that Node / NPM needs is a standard library. It's what helped keep everyone in C / Python from re-implementing everything from scratch. It also helped focus the efforts on improving the standard library.
And, no doubt, this bit of standardization would signal that Node / NPM was no longer for the "cool kids" and they'd flock to something else and re-learn these lessons over and over again.
Standardization doesn't have to mean ossification.
"No Message from Stranger. Keep Focus on Your Work."
From the body (in an image, naturally):
"Amid a serious discussion of salary review, suddenly a message from an unknown insurance agent reminds you about an investment opportunity??!! No more such distraction happens again in [Product]. You will only receive messages from whom you know."
