Also I picked up a Beaglebone Pocket this weekend. It's basically a stripped down BeagleBone Black with just the GPIO headers, SD card reader, and a USB port.
But this is so TINY!
What's cool is it's also built in Michigan.

@valvin Get 'em started young when they're most vulnerable.
@valvin Wow, that is creepy.
@clacke @bobjonkman @deejoe @lnxw48a1 @bob This was my understanding as well. IIRC there was even a whole separate StatusNet set of servers that companies would / could use for their own purposes.
@jk What if we pulled back a bit and added another level of problem solving before we abst.... oh, I'm doing it, right? :)

Glad I was able to write one article for you back in 2012. Though you slowly became a shadow of yourself you still were a great resource.
To the happy days.
"Yes, my laptop computer might be older, but at least it has the dongles built-in."
Amazon Music needs Flash in order to run.
NOooooooooooope.
Huge red flag for me is when consulting companies reformat and retype your resume. Call it my Van Halen M&M dish but seeing my resume reformatted with a company header and a copyright on it means in just another piece of meat to them.
That's why I put a CC-BY-NC-ND license on my resume. And I just called out a company on violating the license for my resume.
@gargron I hope UNIX / Linux never lose these little bits of humor.
Signed up for Picked on the merits of it bring part of The Mozilla Foundation now. I want to support the good folks over there. Maybe some day I'll go premium.
Today I received a sponsored ad from them in my email for a well known online mattress retailer.
Now I'm not sure I want to even use pocket anymore.
That's a really bad look #mozilla.
@briecs GNUSocial is a platform that interfaced with Mastodon (still does). It grew out of a lot of "free speech" folks and has a tendency to have a lot of folks that value free speech over being sensitive about their speech. So having folks who try to have a more nurturing environment with block lists / silencing is anathema to a lot of the GNUSocial folks.
@ajroach42 For remote work I've had decent luck with Stack Overflow Jobs. Not that it's actually resulted in a job yet but at least it's resulted in positive interviews.
I have yet to find a freelance job site that doesn't make me want to lose my lunch in my mouth though.
@Canageek Eclipse Phase is my jam. That ad Fate. :)
Apparently my idea of procrastination is hacking on things tonight.
I'm not complaining.

@lmorchard Wondering if there's an avenue in with the Eclipse Phase folks. That might be a fun license to explore since there's corporations but also folks just trying to survive.
