This has brought back an old memory of this joke that someone modified to include a "size" chart along the bottom of the page. The 10-12 range was 1/2 scale and listed as "full" scale.

Key witness in Assange case admits to lies in indictment Stundin
    https://stundin.is/grein/13627/key-witness-in-assange-case-admits-to-lies-in-indictment/

    >A major witness in the United States’ Department of Justice case against Julian Assange has admitted to fabricating key accusations in the indictment against the Wikileaks founder. The witness, who has a documented history with sociopathy and has received several convictions for sexual abuse of minors and wide-ranging financial fraud, made the admission in a newly published interview in Stundin where he also confessed to having continued his crime spree whilst working with the Department of Justice and FBI and receiving a promise of immunity from prosecution.
    >
    >The man in question, Sigurdur Ingi Thordarson, was recruited by US authorities to build a case against Assange after misleading them to believe he was previously a close associate of his. In fact he had volunteered on a limited basis to raise money for Wikileaks in 2010 but was found to have used that opportunity to embezzle more than $50,000 from the organization. Julian Assange was visiting Thordarson’s home country of Iceland around this time due to his work with Icelandic media and members of parliament in preparing the Icelandic Modern Media Initiative, a press freedom project that produced a parliamentary resolution supporting whistleblowers and investigative journalism.

    Something, something history...

A Coronavirus Epidemic Hit 20,000 Years Ago, New Study Finds Slashdot
    https://nu.federati.net/url/281681

    >Researchers have found evidence that a coronavirus epidemic swept East Asia some 20,000 years ago and was devastating enough to leave an evolutionary imprint on the DNA of people alive today. The new study suggests that an ancient coronavirus plagued the region for many years, researchers say. The finding could have dire implications for the Covid-19 pandemic if it's not brought under control soon through vaccination. "It should make us worry," said David Enard, an evolutionary biologist at the University of Arizona who led the study, which was published on Thursday in the journal Current Biology. "What is going on right now might be going on for generations and generations."

What I have yet to see, and maybe they are keeping quite about it until a fix can be made and deployed, is how the command(s) are being sent. I did a quick search on Shodan for mybook and the results were very limited, about 60 or so world wide. I would like to think it gets access through a WD server login for both device/client software and not direct access from outside, but I have seen stupider things done before.

It seems that DDG is more of a search aggregator.

    Sources DuckDuckGo Help Pages
    https://help.duckduckgo.com/duckduckgo-help-pages/results/sources/

    snip

    >To do that, DuckDuckGo gets its results from over four hundred sources. These include hundreds of vertical sources delivering niche Instant Answers, DuckDuckBot (our crawler) and crowd-sourced sites (like Wikipedia, stored in our answer indexes). We also of course have more traditional links in the search results, which we also source from multiple partners, though most commonly from Bing (and none from Google).

When people search, we believe they're really looking for answers, as opposed to just links. For many categories of searches (restaurants, game of thrones, code documentation, etc.), there is usually a specialized search engine (e.g. Tripadvisor), content site (e.g. MetroLyrics) or other source (e.g. StackOverflow) that does a better job at actually answering the searches than a general search engine does with just links. Our long-term goal is to get you Instant Answers from these best sources.
