I worked at a chain pet store and had a hell of a time convincing people to give betta fish a better chance at life by not putting them in tiny tanks.

I ended up investing in my own 10gal tank with all the fixings, live plants and even compatible roommates. Nic the Fish cohabitated peacefully with an African Dwarf Frog and three Corey Cats.

This is what I would show customers as proof that this was worth the time and money.

Still one of my all time favorite shots.

EFF explains how to disable the Facebook’s platform sharing API FOR your account.

@Elizafox Inherent problem with these things, same with the federated networks we use. The answer? There isn't a solution, the moment you give a central authority the power to make changes you realllly have issues. You have to ask if the pros outweigh the cons.

Can you all please upvote the Masto GitHub issue that requests an API for post length?

I specifically chose this instance for its expansive character limit, but it does me no good on my phone because all the apps are hard-coded to make me shut up after 500 characters.

As someone who has family who did utility pole work, current laws are generally very anti-new service ('last man up the pole', or, if something happens the last company to touch the pole is responsible for replacement of it, utility laws that essentially monopolize whose company can even work on the pole so I.e. you'd have to get Comcast to install the lines, and lol good luck), would be a massive issue. It'd be more efficient to start on private buildings, honestly
