I have to confess that I've just felt depressed this whole morning.
-
@roka @se7en @p @pussyslayer @sjw This is the part that really sucks. We had a few hiccups, but for the most part things were still okay back then. Then mastodon happened. u_u

The best place for me on a sunday morning is really being at home, being allowed to unwind after a stressful week. Or perhaps getting away from everything, and going on a nice walk, weather-willing. Not more lectures. I thought it was supposed to be a day of rest.
-
To be honest, I find it insulting that parents should be forgiven for sending their children to sunday because it was the best thing they could for their children. Like yeah, lets cast off our children into the same room with a bunch of strangers because they aren't allowed to drink wine and expect them all to get along okay. Nothing can go wrong!

Rice is such a cute.

"I believe that you are sorry as hell for having yourself revealed as an insensitive jerk who, upon seeing an unfamiliar meme, doesn't ask "is this humor or hyperbole perhaps?" but rather goes off on a mean-spirited rant about it."
Hmmm... I wonder how this person would respond to someone that doesn't understand humour... because it reads as though they just expect people to ask and get it rather than taking it literally. Not every brain works this way.

@1iceloops123 @moonman Some of the things I end up clicking on like I should know better! :')
-
@phildobangnz Pls use both if it isn't too much bother. Then I know which posts to click on! :)
-
@moonman Naughty, naughty. Good thing I'm not at work! :^)
-
Mfw because people will no longer tag things as #nsfw then I don't know if something is or not over here. xD
-
@marmite Because my memory is shit. u_u
-
I'm so full, I am actually going to have the rest of this dinner tomorrow... whether for lunch or dinner. Have it cold.
-
@phildobangnz @majkatsu Well, I already have a portion thing for rice. It is just tweaking the recipe to something more manageable for me, and that is trial and error. I may not even reach that point. Because I like to finish a whole can off when it comes to beans... although today it is mixed pulses!
-
@majkatsu @nerthos I'm beginning to think that I may need to eat something closer to four small meals per day at regular times. I have this bad habit where I will usually wait until I am hungry and at certain times. Although this time was held back due to everything else happening. I suspect that waiting for as long as I did today hasn't helped. I had breakfast rather early which threw me off. ;;
-
@phildobangnz @majkatsu Oops. I meant that I cook too much for myself. The recipe that I follow is meant for two and a half people, and it is fine when I have someone to share it with... but not myself alone so this time I've tried to cut down. It seems I didn't do that enough! There is so much here. xD
-
@majkatsu @phildobangnz I find this same issue, but I think it is normal to feel motivated to cook for others... at least, people you like. It becomes a social thing, and because you like them, you might be motivated to do something healthier. I think it doesn't help that when it is just you, you may feel hungry and that takes priority by the time you start to cook. Sometimes I wonder if it is a reflection of how I feel about myself... I don't have to best relationship with myself so I'm less motivated to do something really good for myself. Especially on those bleh days. I also tend to overcook so today I tried to cut down and hope that helps me.
-
@majkatsu I think that in future, I might just try to batch cook for the week. I'll need to do that for BF anyways. Then the food can just be re-heated or eaten cold. Fits my mood for those bad days. Also, I think we get the added benefit that when someone you love cooks for you, that can improve how you feel about the meal. I like sharing the experience too. In future, I'll be teaching my children how to cook and I will love that.
-
@majkatsu Lmao. That is basically me. What can I do that is the least amount of effort and takes the shortest amount of time? Because by the time I am cooking, I'm already hungry.
-
Cooking on my own and for myself is kinda boring. Maybe I'm just hungry.
-
Already tired of cooking dinner... I want it cooked now. x.x
