@phildobangnz I think this was the first time that I tried these brands... and it was nice. All filled up now! :')
-
@toshiro It was nice... it was all new branding to me.
-
@rice Thinking about it, it seems that we really have no shortage of conversations to have on mumble, and not enough time to discuss it all! :D
-
@selea That is a relief to hear... it gives me more options to think over. To know it isn't too different. I really would like to go over the PHP code that is currently in GS/qvitter to get an idea before doing anything.
-
@ayy Well, there is the possibility of learning PHP 7, which I've been told will help me to understand qvitter/gs code. A lot of this is wishful thinking on my part as I've said... because I don't have confidence with learning to code. So I wondered if trying to learn a different language might help me there... and well, qvitter is important to my social media experience and well-being there. It is apparent by how antsy I've been getting. Plus if I can help in small ways then I'd be glad to.
-
@dude @marmite @kaniini Also, is there somewhere I can go to learn about what is unmaintainable about qvitter? I'm already listing in my head what kinds of things I'd love to peek into in terms of trying to understand the bugs involved. Qvitter is quite vital to my social media experience... when I'm distressed, I turn to it for comfort. Perhaps because of how I used to use twitter. So it isn't just software to me. It relates to my well-being which is why I've been very antsy lately.
-
@dude @marmite @kaniini What were you thinking about specifically that is broken?
-
Burg and chips tonight.
-
@rice Yeah, I'd like to look at it more realistically.
-
Anyway, it is time for me to head off today and hope for the best. Big day ahead. I hope that when I am back, I can use SLC/FZP as intended and it is just having an incredibly error slow morning. I'll talk later. Take care!
-
@foxhkron I have to start a new thread to reply because my timeline here won't load.
Interesting... there are a few things that I'd really like to do with SLC. I'd like to see what changes we've had in the past year. What duct-tape is added. Not having a timeline that loads due to a jQuery ajax() error is a problem. Just too slow to function it seems. It is something to compare... I've just found the javascript section.
-
I wonder how different PHP 5 and PHP 7 are... if I were to learn 7, would I understand 5? Hmm.
-
My post did get through at least. But I really don't want to have to jump to another instance just to see.
-
mfw GS is conspiring against me so I can't see the recent timeline. u_u
-
Tomorrow is a long day that I really need some sleep for. Busy, busy, busy. I hope it will involve learning more about myself too. Take care and sleep well, fedi!
-
@dude @maiyannah @marmite I did actually think about that before... and I really want to be able to be happy about the software that I'm using while here. But it seems like we won't be moving over to it, but to pleroma.
-
Thanks to everyone for giving me advice on this. I'm going to think on it even more.
Plus I really would like to see a completed qvitter-like FE. Then I get to be at ease and hang out with you all. It's a win for me. I don't like being unhappy here.
-
@marmite I hope so. Although I will be busy tomorrow. I'll have to think on it more while I head to sleep. Learning how to think about programming has stuck with me though. Since it is a transferable skill and it might give me more confidence that I can do this.
-
@marmite Ohh... okay. For some reason, I thought it was python because I learned about the name on here. But it would be good to learn how to think about programming either way. That sounds valuable.
-
@6a62 @marmite Thanks for the heads up!
